The crowd went into uproar of applause. I smiled and waved out to everyone while trying to find Troy within the crowd. I was so overcome with emotion. When a man reached out and grabbed my hand, I was excited with the anticipation of it being Troy. When I looked up it was not Troy who had my hand but Michael. I tried to not show disappointment on my face so I pretended I was happy to see him. I pretended that I was happy that it was him holding my hand.

He pulled me into him and whispered in my ear, “We have to talk.” He looked me in my eyes and was very serious.

I nodded to him and told him I understood. But, honestly, I didn’t want to talk. I wanted to live in the moment. I wanted this moment shared with Troy.
